Denver, officially the City and County of Denver is the largest city and capital of the State of Colorado, USA. Denver is located in the center of the Front Range Urban Corridor, between the Rocky Mountains to the west and the High Plains to the east. Denver's nickname is the "Mile-High City" because its official elevation is one mile above sea level.
