DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

Death Valley National Park is in the states of California and Nevada located east of the Sierra Nevada.  The area of Badwater at 282 feet below sea level is the second-lowest point in the Western Hemisphere.  It is the hottest and driest place in North America because of its lack of surface water and its low relief.  It is often the hottest spot in the United States.
